Diamond Point Set 2.35mm
Diamond point set 2.35mm (3/32” spindle – ideal for use with small tools such as flexshafts, pendant motors, micromotors, air tools and dremel type hobby tools. This set is a good way to test out various shapes and sizes.
The 2.35mm spindle makes these burrs ideal for jewellers who commonly use this size spindle.
Also popular with stone carvers, glass engravers, lapidaries, hobbyists, model makers, precision engineers etc
For working on materials such as glass, stone and ceramic the points should be used in water. Be careful with powertools to ensure safe working. The water avoids cracking due to heat build up and also keeps the dust down.
For Engineers
It is worth bearing in mind that these diamond points are on a 2.35mm spindle which is not standard for Engineers. A chuck handpiece will be fine, however if you have a collet system you will need to ensure you have a 2.35mm (3/32”). These points are a very handy selection of small sizes, ideal for very precise work.
For Jewellers
Diamond points are really handy for removing tricky bits of solder and burrs where you can’t get with a needle file. Not generally used for large areas of precious metal.
Some jewellers use these points for basic engraving and mixed media work such as sea glass jewellery. Diamond points can be used on glass with water to keep the process cool.
